The brilliant and multifaceted guitarist Daniel Lippel will premiere Andrew Waggoner’s The Old Ones, for solo guitar, on October 23rd at Boston Conservatory. Part of a new commissioning project Mr. Lippel has undertaken over the last two years, The Old Ones imagines the ancestors (founding fathers and mothers; musicians, artists and writers; civil rights leaders; perhaps even Cthulu at the bottom of the ocean) convening to express concern over the folly of their progeny.
